- 1 cup (3 sticks) of unsalted butter
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 cup of packed brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
- 3 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking soda
- 3/4 teaspoon of salt
- 4 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Walnut pieces (optional, to your liking)
- Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until the mixture is creamy.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the mixture, and beat until it becomes light and fluffy.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry flour mixture to the wet mixture, mixing until everything is well combined.
- Stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips, and if desired, add walnut pieces to your liking.
- Use a small cookie scoop or spoon to drop portions of the dough onto baking sheets.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the cookies are lightly browned.
