Cheesy Pork Chop and Potato Bake

☆Ingredients:

4 bone-in pork chops
4 cups sliced potatoes
1 cup sliced onions
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon thyme
Salt and pepper to taste

☆Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Season the pork chops with salt, pepper, and thyme on both sides.

In a large skillet, heat some oil over medium-high heat. Brown the pork chops on both sides, then set them aside.

In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for a minute until fragrant.

Layer the sliced potatoes and onions in a greased baking dish. Season with salt and pepper as you layer.

Place the browned pork chops on top of the potato and onion layers.

In a saucepan, melt the butter, then add the heavy cream. Heat the mixture until it’s hot but not boiling. Pour this over the pork chops.

Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.

Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is golden brown.
