☆Ingredients:

1 large cabbage head.
1 pound ground beef or ground turkey.
1/2 cup cooked rice.
1 small finely chopped onion.
1 can (15 oz) of tomato sauce.
1 can (14.5 oz) of diced tomatoes.
1/2 cup chicken or vegetable broth.
2 cloves garlic, minced.
1 teaspoon salt.
1/2 teaspoon black pepper.
1 teaspoon paprika.
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano.
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme.
1/2 teaspoon sugar.
2 tablespoons olive oil.
Chopped fresh parsley for garnish.

☆Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Carefully remove the core from the cabbage and place the whole cabbage in the boiling water. Cook for about 5-7 minutes or until the leaves become pliable. Remove the cabbage, drain, and let it cool.

Once the cabbage is cool enough to handle, carefully peel off the cabbage leaves one by one, cutting out the thick stem from each leaf.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef or turkey, cooked rice, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, dried oregano, and dried thyme. Mix well.

Place a small amount of the meat mixture in the center of each cabbage leaf. Roll up the leaf, tucking in the sides, to form a neat roll.

In a separate bowl, mix together the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, chicken or vegetable broth, and sugar.

Spread a small amount of the tomato sauce mixture in the bottom of a large baking dish.

Place the cabbage rolls seam side down in the baking dish.

Pour the remaining tomato sauce mixture over the cabbage rolls.

Drizzle olive oil over the top and cover the baking dish with aluminum foil.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the cabbage rolls are tender.

Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Enjoy your homemade stuffed cabbage rolls! 🍽️
