Savory Meatballs in Rich Gravy

☆Ingredients:

1/4 cup minced onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 egg
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups beef broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
Salt and pepper to taste
Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

☆Instructions:

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced onion, minced garlic, egg, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove the meatballs from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add flour and whisk until it forms a paste with the remaining oil.
Slowly pour in the beef broth while whisking continuously to prevent lumps from forming.
Stir in the heavy cream and bring the mixture to a simmer.
Return the meatballs to the skillet and let them simmer in the gravy for another 10-15 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and the gravy has thickened.
