☆Ingredients:

1 cup milk
2 cloves garlic, minced
4 large russet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons butter, diced
Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

☆Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, milk, and minced garlic. Heat over medium heat until hot but not boiling. Season with salt and pepper.
Arrange a layer of sliced potatoes in the prepared baking dish. Pour some of the cream mixture over the potatoes. Sprinkle with a handful of cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese.
Repeat layering potatoes, cream mixture, and cheeses until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of cheese on top. Dot the top layer with diced butter.
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for about 45 minutes.
Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown and bubbly.
