Classic Baked Spaghetti and Meatballs

1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1 pound (450g) spaghetti
1 pound (450g) ground beef
1 egg, beaten
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (24-ounce) jar marinara sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Olive oil, for greasing

Creamy Baked Spaghetti with Cream Cheese

☆Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a large baking dish with olive oil and set aside.
Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Shape the meat mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
Heat a bit of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Brown the meatballs on all sides, about 5 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the marinara sauce and heat until warmed through.
Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Arrange the cooked spaghetti evenly over the sauce.
Place the meatballs on top of the spaghetti, then pour the remaining marinara sauce over the meatballs.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
