Vanilla Buttercream Frosting

★Ingredients

3-4 cups (360-480g) powdered sugar (depending on desired sweetness and consistency)

1 cup (230g) unsalted butter, softened

2-3 tablespoons heavy cream or milk

A pinch of salt (optional)

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

★Instructions

Cream the Butter* In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.

Add Powdered Sugar *Gradually add the powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time, beating on low speed until fully incorporated. After each addition, increase the mixer speed to medium and beat for about 2 minutes until light and fluffy.

Add Vanilla and Cream* Add the vanilla extract and 2 tablespoons of heavy cream or milk. Continue to beat on medium speed until the frosting is smooth and fluffy. If the frosting is too thick, add the remaining tablespoon of cream or milk. If it’s too thin, add more powdered sugar until you reach your desired consistency.

Adjust Flavor* Taste the frosting and add a pinch of salt if it’s too sweet, and mix until well combined.

Use Immediately* Spread the frosting on your cake, cupcakes, or other desserts. If you’re not using it immediately, cover it tightly and refrigerate. Before using, bring it back to room temperature and beat it again to restore its texture.

Enjoy your delicious vanilla buttercream frosting!
