  • 1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey/chicken for a healthier option)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (or gluten-free breadcrumbs/ground oats)
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (plus extra for garnish)
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Optional: 1/2 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 tsp salt

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, and milk. Mix well.
  2. Add the onion, garlic, egg, parsley, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper to the bowl. Stir until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  3. Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place it in a medium-sized slow cooker.

  5. Cover and cook on low heat for 6-8 hours or on high heat for 3-4 hours, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
