Thick and Huge Chocolate Chip Cookies

★Ingredients

1 tsp baking soda

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)

1 tsp salt

¾ cup brown sugar (packed)

¾ cup granulated sugar

2 tsp vanilla extract

2 large eggs

1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

★Instructions

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

Cream Butter and Sugars
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 3-4 minutes).

Add Eggs and Vanilla
Beat in the eggs one at a time, making sure each is fully incorporated. Then, stir in the vanilla extract.

Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients
Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter and sugar mixture, mixing on low speed until just combined.

Add Chocolate Chips and Nuts
Stir in the chocolate chips and chopped nuts (if using).

Shape the Cookies
Scoop out large balls of dough (around 2-3 tablespoons each) and place them on the baking sheet, leaving enough space between each.

Bake
Bake the cookies for 12-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown around the edges but still soft in the center.

Cool and Enjoy
Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Enjoy!
